The Wedding Venues We Always Come Back To: Newcastle & the Central Coast

Newcastle is home for us. It's where Viva Le Fiori is based, where we spend many of our weekends loading the van with flowers before heading off to set up weddings, and where we've built some of our closest relationships within the industry. Although our work now regularly takes us to the Hunter Valley, Melbourne and regional Victoria, this stretch of coastline remains at the origin of our story.

These are the venues we find ourselves recommending often, not just because they're beautiful, but because they each offer something special in the way they bring people together.

RAVELLA

Ravella feels like Newcastle's newest chapter wrapped inside one of its oldest stories. The building itself carries over a century of history, but step inside and it feels fresh, elegant and entirely made for modern celebrations. Grand architectural details sit alongside softer contemporary finishes, creating a space that feels equally suited to a black-tie reception or a more relaxed approach to entertaining.

What we love most is the flow of the venue. Guests naturally move through each space as the day unfolds, and because everything happens under one roof, there's an ease to the experience that never feels rushed. Just moments from the beach and surrounded by some of Newcastle's best accommodation and hospitality, it captures the city beautifully.

BELLS AT KILLCARE

Bells has a habit of making people forget they're only a short drive from Sydney or Newcastle. Nestled amongst tropical gardens, it feels more like checking into a boutique retreat than arriving at a wedding venue. Couples and guests settle into the slower pace almost immediately.

Breakfast stretches a little longer. Afternoon drinks turn into dinner. Conversations continue well after the formalities have ended. It's beautifully considered without being overly polished, and that's exactly its charm.

SOMERSBY GARDENS ESTATE

There are venues that impress you with their scale, and then there are venues that quietly win you over. Hidden amongst established gardens and sandstone ruins, Somersby Gardens Estate has an intimacy that makes weddings feel incredibly personal. The Stables offers something a little different. It takes the warmth and relaxed atmosphere people often love about country weddings and pairs it with a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic.
