Lavinia Coluccio is an Italian Australian artist and florist whose work explores the connection between art and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from the textures, rhythms and patterns found in nature, along with the many influences that surround everyday life, her practice moves between observation and abstraction. Through layered forms, colour and movement, her paintings reflect a curiosity for the details that shape our environment, from organic textures and landscapes to the rhythm of music and everyday moments. Her work invites viewers to notice the quiet interplay between nature, feeling and artistic expression.
Lavinia has had involvement with independent galleries in Newcastle, along with participation in council and government supported events such as Big Picture Fest and New Annual.
